Shipping times vary based on the method selected at checkout. Typically, standard shipping takes 1-3 business days once your order leaves our facility. We ship via USPS or UPS, choosing the carrier that offers the fastest delivery to your location. Once your order ships, you'll receive a tracking number. We recommend signing up for text updates through USPS or UPS to stay informed. For plant orders, it's crucial to open packages immediately upon arrival and avoid leaving them exposed to the elements.

At Plants & What Knot, we take great care in packaging every order, and thankfully, issues during transit are very rare. In our many years of shipping plants nationwide, we’ve only had a small handful of packages arrive with significant damage. 🌿

If your order does arrive damaged, please email hello@plantsandwhatknot.com within 24 hours of the USPS or UPS delivery timestamp. This helps ensure the plants were not left outside in extreme weather conditions after delivery.

Please include: photos or video of the top of the plant, side views of the plant, and a close-up of the issue or damage.

All plants and items must remain in their original packaging and condition as they arrived. Please do not repot, water, mist, prune, or otherwise alter the plant before contacting us, as this may void any claims.

We’ll respond within 1 business day to assist with your case. Depending on the situation, we may help file a shipping claim or offer a replacement at the discretion of Plants & What Knot.

Yes! Plants & What Knot ships year-round, including during the winter months. However, to help minimize potential cold damage during transit, we significantly reduce the number of foliage plants available for shipment during colder weather.

All plant orders are carefully insulated and cushioned with poly-fil for protection during transit. We also offer optional 72-hour heat packs for $5.

If temperatures in your area are expected to drop below freezing (32°F), we highly recommend adding a heat pack to your order. Please note that heat packs should only be added when truly needed, as excessively warm temperatures can also cause heat damage to plants.

Plants & What Knot is not responsible for:
Cold damage if a heat pack was not purchased during freezing temperatures Heat damage caused by unnecessary heat pack use in mild weather

If you’re unsure whether you need a heat pack for your location, feel free to contact us before placing your order — we’re happy to help! 🌿

Because every piece from Plants & What Knot is handmade using natural materials and live plants, you will not receive the exact plant pictured.

You will receive the same plant variety and a similar overall size and style, but each piece is uniquely crafted. Variations in plant shape, leaf patterning, cork bark, sea urchin shells, moss, blooms, and natural materials are all part of what makes each creation one of a kind. 🌿

We thoughtfully design every piece to highlight the natural beauty and character of the individual plant and materials used.

We always happy to help with plant questions! We include care cards in each order, but sometimes things happen. Although we do not offer any long term plant guarantees, feel free to email us at hello@plantsandwhatknot.com or DM us on instagram @PlantsandWhatKnot and we'll give you some tips and tricks on what you can do to try to get your plant baby back in tip top shape.
